Frequently asked questions

Arkitekto is an online reviewer for the Philippine Architect Licensure Examination (ALE). It gives you practice questions, timed mock exams, spaced repetition review, and progress tracking that shows which subjects still need the work. It's free to use. Arkitekto Pro removes the daily and weekly caps and opens design scenario practice and Story mode.

Arkitekto is for architecture graduates and students preparing to take the Architect Licensure Examination (ALE) administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Professional Regulatory Board of Architecture (PRBOA) in the Philippines.

Yes. The free plan gives you 30 practice questions a day and 1 mock exam a week, drawn from every subject in the question bank, plus reviewers, bookmarks, discussions and progress tracking with no cap. Three things need Pro: the two-day simulated exam, design scenario practice and Story mode. Free accounts can try a sample scenario and a sample Story mode scene. New accounts also get their first 15 days with no limits and everything unlocked, no card needed. After that you stay on the free plan unless you choose to upgrade. Prices are under Pricing below.

Over 9,000, covering every topic area in the Architect Licensure Examination: history, theory, and professional practice; structural design, building materials, and utilities; and architectural design and site planning. Every subject and topic is open on the free plan, up to 30 questions a day, and Pro removes that cap. Design scenarios, the worked situational problems, are Pro only.

We cover all three ALE subjects as listed in the PRC examination program: (1) History & Theory of Architecture, Principles of Planning & Architectural Practice (30%); (2) Utilities, Structural Conceptualization, Building Materials & Technology (30%); and (3) Architectural Design & Site Planning (40%). Our practice questions span every topic area within these subjects, including architectural laws and professional ethics.

They're written from the official PRBOA syllabus and aim at the same topics and difficulty as the real thing. They are not past exam papers, and nobody can legitimately sell you those. What we can do is make sure no topic on the syllabus is one you've never practiced.

A mock exam is 100 randomized questions in a timed sitting, split across the three subjects by their board exam weights. Afterwards you get a breakdown by subject area, which is usually more useful than the total score. The separate simulated exam follows the real two-day schedule and is graded the board's way: a 70% weighted average with no subject below 50%.

Spaced Review uses the SM-2 (SuperMemo 2) algorithm, the same spaced repetition method behind apps like Anki. Answer a question correctly and it gets pushed further out: 1 day, then 6 days, then progressively longer intervals. Get it wrong and it returns the next day with the interval reset. The effect is that your review time drifts toward the questions you keep missing.

We're working through every question and answer one at a time to verify them. Until that's finished, some will still have errors, and we'd rather say so than pretend otherwise. If you find one, hit the Report button on the question. Those reports are how most of the fixes get found.

Yes. You get study streaks, performance analytics, subject mastery levels, and achievement badges, so you can see both what you've covered and where your scores are still soft.

Yes. Arkitekto is fully responsive and runs on phones, tablets, and desktops, with your progress synced across all of them.

Yes. Every question has a written explanation of the correct answer, shown after you answer in practice and in the review after a mock exam. You can bookmark difficult questions, and Weak Areas practice and Spaced Review bring back the topics and questions you keep missing.
